another absurd push problem (bitbucket)

Hi

I just wanted to push, and I obtain the following error, which I cannot
remember to have seen before:

hg push
pushing to https://kalthad@bitbucket.org/kalthad/something
searching for changes
abort: push would create new anonymous heads (76b970cf898e)
(use --allow-anon to override this warning)


I thought that this a typical error, that I did not pull before pushing.

So I run

 hg pull -u

*but* I receive
pulling from https://kalthad@bitbucket.org/kalthad/something
searching for changes
no changes found


So what is up here?
