[Helix, using a converter] (was: hg-git named branches, a new patch and problem)

The origin of this thread was the question whether Helix, does support
mercurial natively or uses a converter similar to hg-git. 
Since you know hg-git, what is your opinion. Is this possible 
(recall the scenario I planned).
