hg bisect seems to fail

Hi

This is rather absurd. As I said yesterday I cannot compile the latest
changeset in the default branch of the hg-stable repository.

It is not the first time I use hg bisect, but just for the protocol
I did

hg up d782cce137fd (the changeset for which I can compile)
hg bisect -g
hg up default (up to the tip of the default branch, for which I cannot compile
hg bisect -b

And off we go

The result is

The first bad revision is:
changeset: 43430:4394687b298b
branch: stable
tag: bad
user: Pierre-Yves David <pierre-yves.david at octobus.net>
date: Sat Nov 16 20:07:49 2019 +0100
summary: pure: use string for exception in the pure version of base85

That is nonsense, the wrong branch, and if you checkout the changeset
before, it does not compile neither.

What went wrong here?
Is this another BUG?
