I can confirm this, I upgrade to mercurial 5.2 and can use, for the
moment, without problems hg-git.

I could even apply Manuel Jacob's patch to default branch, or more precisely to 
changeset 5f91224318.

Could you apply the patches (they are from June). For me they are
essential, because I have to push to git repositories and really rely on
named branches.
