keep topics even in a publishing repo?

Hi

After some time I have up using 

[phase] 
publish = False

Because I find it useful to see which changesets are pushed and which
are not (I could use hg out, but I prefer to use phases)

It is my understanding that a topic all changesets that are pushed
vanishes.

There is no configuration to have the publish phase *and* to keep the
topic?

Is this correct?
