Rather basic question about using mercurial in test/production set-up

Thanks all, as I said I think all I really needed was to understand
how clone, push and pull work.  :-)

I have clone[ed] my repository from the place where it is run to the
same directory on the remote test system.  As I said, fortunately I
have a very friendly sysadmin on the test system and within minutes of
me asking he had installed mercurial for me there.

I then ran the whole mutt (MUA), my program (python MTA), etc. on the
test system and broke it, modified it, etc. until I was happy with it.

Then I simply pull[ed] it back to the place where it really runs and
that's it!

Simple when you know how! :-)

(N.B. this is just for me, no other users, no other developers. I know
very well that if more people were involved it would become more
complex)
