how to avoid a change set (branch) to be pushed: phases and git

Hi

I want to create a (named) branch that should not be pushed. So I
thought of changing its phase to secret and that's it. However I have
also to push, via hg-git to a git repository, and git does not
understand phases.
Is this a problem?
