sourcetree (MacOS) and mercurial problems

I don't use sourcetree but based on https://www.mercurial-scm.org/wiki/MissingRequirement it appears that sourcetree is using a version of mercurial < 4.7 for that hg status command while the repository was created with a version of mercurial >= 4.7.

I also found some old instructions for manually updating sourcetree to use a newer version of mercurial on Windows which might give you some hints on how to do a similar thing on your OS.  https://confluence.atlassian.com/sourcetreekb/upgrading-git-mercurial-in-sourcetree-for-windows-695108075.html
