emacs user, how do you rebase or merge using emacs

Hi, Uwe

You're going to be disappointed in me.  I'm both an emacs user and a
mercurial user, but I don't mix the two activities much.  And I'm way
behind on learning hg's new features, so I can't offer any help with your
other posts.

I generally craft commit messages well before starting the commit command,
and I'm likely to do a copy-and-paste as a result.

Although I have just used Tortoise Hg which provides some helpful
shortcuts, I don't think it's would be up to your expectations.
