notify configuration don't inlcude diffs from binaries

Hi 

I am using notify since quite a while, however in one repository I have
included  an odt file, but then the diff is rather unreadable.

https://wiki.mercurial-scm.org/NotifyExtension
only specifies to restrict the lines of the diff but not that diff type

Is there any possibility to tell notify not to include diffs of
binaries?
