committing some lines

The person I was referring to likes to run within his emacs editor and like
to use keys / key combinations to work with his DVCS and does not like to
use the command line

He does come from a git background and for git the magit package within
emacs is very powerful

The following intro to magit video can easily be listened to in double
speed and if so is ~7 minutes, not that I expect any of you to watch or
watch for so long
