Sorry, I most likely explained this rather badly.
1. Right now I upgraded to Ubuntu 24.04 and I need the following
2. A working mercurial and
a. A working evolve
b. Hg-git, but here I am more picky. I need a version that allows
me to export (push) hg topics as git branches.
The first problem I encountered was that the Ubuntu mercurial version
was incompatible with the mercurial evolve version. This problem is now
solved.
The second problem is harder. There exists a hg-git versions that is
compatible with 6.7.3 and should support exporting topics as git
branches. Alas it does not work for me. I already opened an issue on the
hg-git dev page and sent an email to the hg-git mailing list.
So far no answer.
In my desperation, I thought of returning to combination I used namely
hg 5.2 and hg-git changesets 6942fb0a8c9d+cd663e6379f0.
However these hg-git changesets seem to requier python-2.7 as does
mercurial 5.2 or and older python version 3 (older than 3.12).
Did I explain my problem now better?
Any ideas?
